WHY SUPPORT THIS EVENT?

Help us help our neighbors in need

1. Shawnee Community Services has been helping our neighbors in need for 40 years.  All proceeds are used locally.  Our mission is to secure a better future for our neighbors in need without an application or waiting period. 

2.  distributed 300 pantry packages a month.  In 2023 cost = $44,000

3. Free bakery & perishable products are distributed to more than 175 families 6 days a week. 

4. our new Fuel Card Program spent $24,000 in 2022

5. last year $40,000 was spent helping with prescriptions, utilities, rent, bus tickets, work shoes, phones, kitchen wares, car repairs and more.

6. 149 children received a new backpack full of school supplies (2023)

7. 19 families were adopted for Christmas (2023)

8. 325 families received an extra HOLIDAY food package with a turkey

9. To keep the building at 67th & Nieman the mortgage payment is $3,070  a month
